Why LED Minimize

Compact Fluroescent (CFL) will soon exit the market under the increasing building efficiency regulations. With uncomfortable light reproduction and questionable mercury content this comes not a moment too soon.  LED has entered the market. Commercial applications are taking this technology up purely for cost and efficiency reasons. It makes sense.

But how many cents?

A typical 35W hallogen will cost $22.05 to run for 1 year at 12 hours a day 7 days a week 50 weeks in the year. At 15c kWhr that same duration will cost $4.41 with a 7W LED.

In a commercial application that is $17.64 saving per year per lamp.

In a domestic application that is $6.61 saving at 6 hours (half) per day.

With an expected lamp life of 5-10 years these lamps present a power saver combined with lower maintenance.  If youre looking to retrofit your own lamps - have a look at the range from primoLED

Cabling performance - requirements for high-quality NBN cabling

The emphasis in the Cabling Provider Rules (CPR) is on meeting ACMA regulatory requirements for registration. Some trainers do not go beyond the minimum requirements for registration and the NBN rollout has highlighted the need for better cable performance.

 Solar PV Earthing Minimize

Solar PV Grid Connect earthing requirements are now mandatory for transformerless systems and will soon be required on all tranformer based systems as well.  The minimum standard is a 4mm earth taken from the main earth bar to the solar array.

Earth bonding must be mechanically and electrically sound for the life of the system.  Screws and bits of wire are NOT acceptable and will NOT ensure a solid earth bond.  In fact they will quite often cause a reaction of metals resulting in damage to the aluminium mounting system.

Ecoelectric use a stainless steel lug connection that is proprietry to our rail kit.  The stainless steel ensures minimal reactions and an electrically tight connection for years to come.  Our panels are bonded with stainless steel earthing washers enabling 4 points of contact in 2 locations on every panel.  These connections are guarenteed to stay electrically continous in even the harshest conditions.
